Energy

When I take photos I am wholly in the present. I immerse myself totally with my subject whether it has a beating heart or not. I believe everything has vibrational energy and that we as humans can connect through our vibrations.

This year I’ve travelled to some pretty incredible places within Australia  and been awe-inspired by the beauty of our country. I was very excited to travel to The Kimberley on my first photography expedition and was surprised in the first couple days that I wasn’t capturing the Spirit of the land like I normally do. It was only after spending two nights on a houseboat (totally alone), which was so isolated I didn't see another soul that the images I was capturing changed. 

I spent my time dancing to the silence with nothing around me except red cliff faces, brilliant blue skies and clean, fresh water.  The wind, which felt like it was alive, came in and danced with me and I felt so connected to this special place.  By the time I left  I had developed a deeper connection and respect for this land that was new to me and my energy field had changed, tuning into the frequencies of this ancient place. 

I then spent the next 10 days having such an incredible experience, one that I will never forget. With the photos I took I have been able to create images that have been running around my head for a long time now and it has been such a pleasure creating them.
